Halloween 2017 is going to be a big night for college football betting predictions, as this is when we will get to see the first official rankings released by the Playoff Committee. We already have a pretty good idea of who the top 4 will be, and once the rankings are out, every team will have a much better idea of what they need to do in the final weeks of the season if they want to be part of the playoffs once all is said and done. We are going to look at a whole host of big games for this coming weekend, and we will get the ball rolling by going in-depth on three games that look to have major playoff implications.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

If you want to talk about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, you need to talk about what Ohio State did to Penn State last weekend. With their playoff lives on the line, JT Barrett and company delivered a comeback for the ages, keeping their playoff hopes alive while striking a dagger to the heart of the Nittany Lions. The Buckeyes have a tricky little road trip ahead of them this week, as they head out to face the Iowa Hawkeyes, who are currently 5-3 on the season.

Ohio State are 9-1 SU in their last 10 games versus the Hawkeyes, which includes a 5-1 SU record in games played in Iowa. The Buckeyes offense has been putting up some big numbers in recent weeks, but may have a tougher time against a very stingy Hawkeyes defense. Ohio State should come up with the win here, and I also like them to cover the 16 ½ point spread.

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys

This has to be one of the biggest games on the NCAAF Week 10 calendar, not only because it’s an in-state rivalry game, but also because it is essentially a playoff elimination game. Both of these teams are coming into this one with a 7-1 record, and both know that a loss will basically mean they have zero chance of cracking the top 4. The Sooners have had the better of this match-up in recent seasons, going 8-2 in their last 10 meetings with the Cowboys.

Despite that record, they are coming into this one as a 3-point road underdog, but that will not bother them at all, since they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 on the road to the Cowboys. Oklahoma State are 8-1 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last 9 games at home. This has all the makings of a classic, and I like the Cowboys to win and cover on Saturday.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana Hoosiers

When the top 4 is released on Halloween night, the unbeaten Wisconsin Badgers are likely to find themselves on the outside looking in. Strength of schedule is going to ultimately hurt them right now, but if they keep on winning the rest of the way, they may just find a way to sneak past a couple of 1-loss teams that had tougher runs this season.

Wisconsin comes into this one as a 10 ½ point road favorite, which is more than fair when you consider that they are 9-1 SU in their last 10 meetings with Indiana. They also went 7-3 ATS in those games, and are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 trips to Indiana. All Wisconsin can do at this point is keep winning and let the chips fall where they may. I like them to win and cover in this one.
