Hard to believe, but we are already a quarter of the way through the 2018 MLB season. There have been some big surprises in the early going, but while the season is passing quickly, the good news for the slow starters in the group is that there is plenty of time to get things sorted out. Monday means a whole new week, and the opportunity to start turning things in the right direction for many teams. For those that are winning, the new week means trying to stay on the positive path. There are some great MLB betting series to look forward to this week, so let’s get right to them.
The Braves are in town. We’re 1.5 games back. We need you here, Philly. #BeBold

Atlanta Braves Vs Philadelphia Phillies – Monday to Wednesday
This is not the 1-2 combination that we expected to see at the top of the NL East, but both of these teams are defying the odds with great young talent. It is the hard-hitting Braves who are sitting on top of the division with a game and a half lead after a dramatic come from behind win on Sunday night over the Miami Marlins. They will look to carry that momentum into this series with the Phillies, and will also be looking to open up a little more space at the top. Both teams are in very good form, going 7-3 in their last 10 games.
Arizona Diamondbacks Vs Milwaukee Brewers – Monday to Wednesday
The Arizona Diamondbacks came charging out of the gate to take control of the NL West, but they are not so slowly falling back to the pack after picking up just 1 win in their last 11 games. The D-Backs are now in danger of being swamped by the chasing group. The Milwaukee Brewers have built up a game and a half lead at the top of the NL Central, proving that last season was no fluke. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games, which included a series win over Arizona.
Cleveland Indians Vs Chicago Cubs – Tuesday to Wednesday
This is a great little interleague match-up that we have on our hands, although it’s a little disappointing that it’s only two games. The Cleveland Indians are on top of the AL Central, but they are also a game under .500 on the season. They are probably going to win this division, but if they don’t start to improve, they are looking at another early playoff exit. The Cubs have been lacking consistency in the early part of the season, but are 6-4 in their last 10 games and are just a game and a half out of first. Both teams are hovering around .500 in interleague play this year.
LA Angels Vs New York Yankees – Friday to Sunday
There are certain things that are totally inevitable in a 162-game MLB season, and it is that every team is going to experience at least one slump. The LA Angels are in one of those kids right now and are just 3-7 in their last 10 games. They had a strong start to the season, though, and are still just 3 ½ games back of the division-leading Astros. After a bumpy start, the Yankees have moved into high gear and are now in possession of the best winning percentage in baseball. At 18-7, Yankee Stadium has become a bit of a fortress for this team, so a tough ask for the Angels here.
