As we head into the final weeks of the MLB season, there are going to be a lot of different storylines to pay attention to, not the least of which is the race for the playoff spots in the National League. Every single division is still wide open, which also means that the Wild Card race is turning into exactly what the MLB had hoped for when they put the system in place. With each passing series, the fortunes of the teams involved in those races seem to change, with some edging closer to a playoff spot, while others see it slowly slipping away. The Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves are both younger teams, and both are very much alive in both their divisions and the Wild Card. There is even the possibility that it may well be these two teams who go head to head in the NL Wild Card Game, making this a series to watch, if only for that reason. This is not exactly a must-win MLB Series for either of these teams, although getting the win would certainly help deliver a massive boost of confidence for the challenges ahead.

MLB SeriesThe Brewers are on a stretch of games where they are either winning or splitting series, but the problem is that they are just not doing enough to make up the ground on the division-leading Cubs. Milwaukee are 5-5 in their last 10 games, although they can improve on that if they can win their final game in a 3-game tile with the Tigers, which is currently all even at 1-1. It’s easy to forget that this is still a relatively young team, and that they finally just broke through in 2017. Inconsistency is all part of the growing pains for a younger team, but they also need to find a way to snap out of it quickly, as there are a lot of teams within closing distance in the Wild Card race. The Brewers took 3 of 4 from the Braves when they played them at Miller Field earlier this season.

MLB Series Milwaukee Brewers Vs Atlanta Braves, Betting Analysis 3
Atlanta Braves Vs Washington Nationals 2The Braves are a lot like their weekend opponents in that they are largely made up of younger prospects who have all come good at the same time. They are also having their ups and down, but they are proving that they have some fight in them by staying in the hunt for a division crown. They will face the Nationals again in the nation’s capital on Thursday with a shot at taking 3 of 4 and potentially killing the Nationals season. A win there might also put the Braves back on top in the NL East, a position no-one expected them to be in at this stage of the season. Even if Atlanta don’t win the division, they are still very much in the Wild Card picture, and a win this weekend would certainly help their cause.

MLB Series Milwaukee Brewers Vs Atlanta Braves, Betting Analysis 4
MLB SeriesI think the Braves are going to take that win on Thursday and head home with a serious bout of momentum, which I think they carry over here, I’m with the Braves to take 2 of 3 from the Brewers.
