There’s no sense in beating around the bush NBA basketball betting enthusiasts. The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to lose their 2018 NBA Finals matchup against the Golden State Warriors. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the finals and it surely isn’t going to happen this year either.

Having said that, the only question that hoops heads and basketball bettors need to answer is whether or not LeBron James and the Cavs are going to get swept by Kevin Durant and the Dubs when the two rivals square off on Friday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

If you’re looking to find out whether the Cavs can either cover the spread as home underdogs or win outright then let’s get to my expert NBA Finals pick right now.

Game Information

🏀: Golden State Warriors (72-29) at Cleveland Cavaliers (62-40)

The Warriors fought hard and played some gritty basketball to pick up what amounts to a series-defining 110-102 road win over Cleveland in Game 3 and oh yeah, they also got a stupendous performance from Kevin Durant to put James and the Cavs away.

Durant scored a game-high 43 points on 15-of-23 shooting from the field and 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc and the Warriors got the win despite the fact that The Splash Brothers backcourt of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined to shoot just 7 of 27 from the field and 3 of 15 from downtown for 21 combined points.

Durant put the game away for Golden State with the Dubs up 103-100 by draining a cold-blooded three from 33 feet out.

“I don’t want to downplay anything, but I don’t want to act like this is the end of the road,” Durant said. “So just get back to work tomorrow and figure out a better game plan.”

The game-deciding shot was a dagger the Cavaliers couldn’t overcome and it impressed even LeBron James.

“No, that wasn’t the same shot,” James said when asked to compare Durant’s trey to the huge one he hit in Game 3 a year ago.

“The one he made tonight was about four or five feet behind the one he made last year. He’s an assassin. That was one of those assassins plays right there.”

Cleveland got a team-high 33 points, to go along with 11 assists and 10 rebounds from James while Kevin Love added 20 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Swingman Rodney Hood added 15 points off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to get the Cavs over the hump against the Warriors. Still, James said he’ll give it his all in Game 4.

“Tonight will be tough,” James said. “Tomorrow I’ll replay some plays and some moments and things of that nature. When I wake up Friday morning I’ll be locked in on the game plan of what needs to be done to help our team win. That’s just who I am.”

While LeBron James certainly isn’t going to bow out without a fight, I just don’t see any way that Cleveland can beat Golden State in Game 4 unless the Dubs just don’t put forth their best effort while knowing they can close out Cleveland in Game 5 at home.

However, I don’t think that’s going to be the case on Friday as I expect the Warriors to come out with the mindset of finishing off the Cavs in four. I don’t see any way that both, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson both have horrible games and I also don’t see any way the Cavs can slow down or stop Kevin Durant.

NBA Finals Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 4 1

The Warriors are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings, but really, you can throw out the numbers. Golden State is just too good for Cleveland to beat! I got the Dubs winning and covering the spread in the process.

Pick: Golden State Warriors -5½ -110
