‘Chef Curry’ and the Golden State Warriors will need to stir up some red-hot cooking if they’re going to pull off the road win in game 7 of their Western Conference Finals showdown against James Harden and the clearly gritty Houston Rockets when the two teams square off on Monday night. If you’re looking to both, find out – and cash in on – the team that is offering the best betting odds value in this back-and-forth series, then look no further! Let’s get to my expert pick!

What: Golden State Warriors (68-29) at Houston Rockets (76-21)
When: Monday, May 28, 2018, at 9:00 PM ET
Where: Toyota Center
The Line: Golden State Warriors -5½ -110 | -245 | O 207½ -110
The Warriors staved off elimination and kept their season alive by winning Game 6 115-86 as Klay Thompson scored a game-high 35 points while Steph Curry added 29 points in the win.
The defending champs trailed by 17 points in the first quarter and went into the half down by 10. Then, the Splash brothers’ came alive in the third quarter. Golden State took the lead with an 11-0 run to open the second half, with Klay Thompson hitting two threes and Curry adding another.
“I guess you could say I was born for it. Man, that felt good,” Thompson said.
Thompson and Curry combined for 21 of the Warriors’ 33 points in the third quarter while going 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. Thompson finished the game draining 9-of-14 from deep while Curry shot a respectable 5-of-14 from downtown. Kevin Durant added 23 points in the win while Draymond Green added 10 rebounds and nine assists.
“We just didn’t want to go out like that,” Thompson said, “we wanted to force Game 7 so badly.”
The Rockets got a team-high 32 points from James Harden and 19 points from Eric Gordon but they were clearly missing the contributions of point guard Chris Paul who led them to victory in Games 4 and 5.
“He’s devastated. He has to be. We’re all devastated for him. At the same time, we’ll rally and do what’s right,” D’Antoni said. “He’s so integral in what we do and the spirit of the team. And him being here is a big deal, and him being on the bench is a big deal. He’ll us through if he can.”
“More than anything, I feel bad for Chris. The guy is a phenomenal player and competitor, and pretty much willed his team the last two games. He’s just been haunted by these types of injuries in his career, and it’s a shame,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
Trevor Ariza added 14 points and Gerald Green contributed 11 points in the humbling defeat.
The Rockets could advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since the 1994-95 season, but I just don’t see that happening, mostly because Chris Paul is not going to be at full strength. Houston has really taken it to Golden State and if Paul were healthy, I’d say they were the pick to win this contest.
Unfortunately, Paul is banged up and Golden State is completely and utterly desperate and I believe the combination of the two means the Warriors will somehow find a way to eke out a narrow win.
The Warriors are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Conference Finals games and the favorite in this rivalry is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. I know Houston has gone 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight-up loss and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 1 days rest but I’m not feeling an outright win and neither should you! Golden State wins and covers the spread by the skin of their collective teeth!
Pick: Golden State Warriors -5½ -110
