Russell Wilson and the ‘desperate’ Seattle Seahawks will look to get their first win of the season by taking down Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in their Week 3 matchup of NFC playoff hopefuls. If you’re looking for some outstanding betting value on the NFL Week 3 schedule, then this game is definitely offering it. Now, let’s find out why.

Dallas Cowboys

After getting beat down in their 16-8 season-opening loss at Carolina, the Cowboys bounced back nicely to beat the New York Giants 20-13 on Sunday night as Dak Prescott passed for 160 yards and one touchdown while running back Ezekiel Elliott rushed 17 times for 78 yards and another score. Prescott responded after being called out earlier in the week by Giants’ defensive back Landon Collins.

“We definitely hear that,” Prescott said. “I kind of said the challenge accepted, I said I accepted it. But I can tell you I wasn’t the only one who accepted that challenge. This team accepted it. That offense accepted it. We wanted to go out there and just show you guys.”

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle was on the wrong end of a 27-24 road loss in Week 1 against Denver and then they were handed another tough loss in their 24-17 road loss at Chicago on Monday night. Russell Wilson passed for 226 yards with two touchdowns and one interception but Seattle was held to just 74 rushing yards and Wilson was harassed throughout the game by Bears superstar linebacker Khalil Mack. The Seahawks put two touchdowns on the board in the fourth quarter but it was a case of too little too late.

“The fourth quarter showed us who we are and who we can be. … I don’t think we’re far off by any means,” he said. “I think the margin of error is really small. I’m normally optimistic, you guys know, but I really mean that. I think that’s the situation we’re in.”

Expert Pick and Prediction

I really like Seattle to over the chalk as a slight 1.5-point home favorite, particularly after opening as a 3-point fave. Seattle is completely desperate, they’re playing at home against a team that has plenty of problems of their own and they’ll have the best player on the field in superstar quarterback Russell Wilson.

I know Dallas has gone 4-1 ATS in their last five road dates against Seattle and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall, but the Seahawks are also a robust 10-3-2 ATS in their last 15 games following an SU loss and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games against a team with a losing record. I’m going with Seattle to hold down the fort at home.

Predicted Score: Seahawks 27 Cowboys 20
