NHL Betting Odds – Tampa Bay Looks to Take Series Lead for First Time in Game 5 on Saturday
After being down 0-2, the Tampa Bay Lightning will look to take a series lead for the first time when they host the Washington Capitals in Game five of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals at the Amalie Arena on Saturday.
With the road team winning each of the first four games in this series, let’s find out if the Bolts can hold it down at home or whether Alex Ovechkin and the Caps are primed for another road upset for all this NHL Betting Odds.

Tampa Bay had to overcome a lot to get the win in Game 4, but that’s exactly what they did en route to a convincing 4-2 win on Thursday night.
Vezina Trophy finalist Andrei Vasilevskiy was outstanding in making a phenomenal 36 saves to lead his team to victory.
Dmitry Orlov opened the scoring with a first period goal for Washington but Brayden Point leveled things up 1:10 later with a goal for Tampa Bay. Steven Stamkos scored a power play goal almost midway through the first prior to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead.
Evgeny Kuznetsov tied it at 2-2 with the only goal for either team in the second period, but Tamp Bay got the go-ahead goal from
Alex Killorn with about 8 minutes left and Anthony Cirelli added an empty netter with two seconds remaining to ensure the win.
“When you don’t have your `A’ game, you need your goalie to have his `A’ game,” Cooper said. “And he sure did.”
Again, the road team has won every game in the series so far.
“It’s pretty bizarre,” said Steven Stamkos, who took a puck of the face during the morning skate. We’ve got to find a way to win one at home.”
The loss dropped Washington to a mind-boggling 3-5 in the nation’s capital this postseason, while conversely, the Caps are 7-1 on the road.
I know the road team has won every game in this series, but I’m going to back Tampa bay to snap that trend in Game 5. The Lightning led the entire NHL in scoring this season and they’re also the slightly better defensive team in this series. Right now, their confidence has to be sky high and they know they can not blow another home game if they hope to put the Caps away.
I know Washington has gone 14-2 in their last 16 road games, but Tampa Bay is 15-7 in the last 22 meetings and a near-perfect 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win. I like the Bolts to get it done in a high-scoring shootout!
Pick: Tampa Bay 5 Washington 4
