Hopefully you got in on France at these odds prior to today, as they are the first team to punch their ticket to the semi-finals, beating Uruguay 2-0 on Friday morning. The French are getting better as the tournament progresses, so they are definitely a team to watch.
The English are a bit of a surprise package given that they came into this tournament with rather low expectations. This is a younger England team, with many believing that their lack of big tournament experience might do them in. They survived a scare against Colombia in the last round, and also have the benefit of fielding the top scorer in the tournament in Harry Kane (6 goals).
Croatia very quickly became a tournament dark horse after blowing through the group stage in a run that included a 3-0 win over Argentina. They may have started to believe their own hype, though, as they struggled to get past Denmark in the Round of 16. That game should have served as a wake-up call for this very talented squad.
As we already mentioned, Belgium will face Brazil in the second semi-final on Friday. They have been scoring goals for fun at this tournament but had to come from 2-0 down to beat Japan in the last round. If they can get past Brazil, they will become the instant favorites to win it all.
