Liverpool Vs Stoke City – 7:30 AM EST
Liverpool is in a little bit of a tricky position with this one. They will be looking to rest some guys ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg this week in Rome, but they also still need a win to secure Champions League football for next season. The good news here is that they are going against a struggling Stoke City side who they have beaten in each of their last 5 meetings. Liverpool may opt to field a strong enough side to get the job done early before giving their top players a bit of a rest. Should be a comfortable win at home.
Predicted Score: Liverpool 3 Stoke City 0
Aston Villa Vs Derby County – 10 AM EST
We head down a division into the English Championship for our next game, which should be a fun one to watch. There are just 2 games left in the season, and it is looking as though the battle for playoff spots is going to go down to the wire. Aston Villa still has an outside shot at the automatic promotion spot in second place, but need a win here. Derby is down in 6th, which is the final playoff berth but are just 2 points up on Millwall. Villa and Derby could potentially meet in the playoff round, making this one all the more interesting. Home field has been the advantage in their last two meetings, so lets’ stick with that trend.
Predicted Score: Aston Villa 2 Derby County 0
Atlanta United Vs Montreal Impact – 1 PM EST
The early game in the MLS features an Atlanta United team looking to take control of the Eastern Conference in the early going. Atlanta is 5-1-1 through their first 7 games of the season and is once again scoring goals for fun. Montreal is off to a slow start, winning just 2 of their first 7 games. They have been leaking goals at an alarming rate, which is not where you want to be when going against one of the most offensively gifted teams in the league. I think Atlanta score early and often in getting the win here.
Predicted Score: Atlanta United 5 Montreal Impact 1
Inter Milan Vs Juventus – 2:45 PM EST
We are going to be cutting it close with this one, as it should start close to the time the previous game is getting finished. Given how the Serie A is playing out, though, this is one we cannot avoid. Juventus looked comfortable at the top a couple of weeks ago, but an unexpected 1-1 tie versus Crotone followed by a home defeat to Napoli has them up by a single point on Napoli at the top. Inter still have a shot at landing in a Champions League berth, so they will be all out for the win. I think Juve get back on track with a win here.
Predicted Score: Inter Milan 1 Juventus 2
